Sathi Dasgupta, founder and President of SONA Consulting Inc. has over twelve years of experience in research and evaluation, program support and technical assistance in the areas of health, substance abuse and reproductive health. Sathi has provided technical assistance to community based organizations in the areas of grant writing, program development, program management and training.  She has designed research and evaluation studies, supervised and trained project staff, managed and analyzed large and small data sets using sophisticates statistical techniques, developed and administered data collection instruments, conducted focus groups and wrote papers, project reports and executive summaries. Sathi is experienced in using statistical software packages such as SAS, SPSS.

Sathi has over ten years of University teaching experiences in social Sciences, research methods and crime and justice systems.

Sathi holds a BA in Economics from University of Calcutta, India, MA in Political Science from University of Missouri-Columbia and a Ph.D. in Sociology from University of Delaware.

Mitch M. Q. Wang, Ph.D., FAAHB, a Consultant with SONA Consulting is a Professor in the Department of Public and Community Health at the University of Maryland, College Park, MD. Dr. Wang has a Ph.D. from Arizona State University, Tempe, Arizona., specializing in statistics, research method, and computer programming. Dr Wang has over twenty years of experience in the areas of sampling techniques, statistical analysis of data, statistical modeling including path analysis and structural equation, web-based data collection and reporting, website and database development. Dr. Wang has over 150 publications in peer reviewed journals in the areas of factor analysis, test of efficacy, developing survey instrument, surveillance and prevalence studies, structural equation model, complex survey designs, program evaluation, logistic models, analysis of measurement scales, and internal consistency and reliability analysis.

Dr Wang is experienced in working as Principal Investigator, Co-Principal Investigator or consultant/contractor in projects funded by the Department of Health and Human Services, Department of Labor, US Department of Agriculture, Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, Maryland Department of Transportation, National Center for Bioethics in Research and Health Care, Center for Diseases Control and Prevention (CDC) , Alabama Department of Human Resources, Alabama Health Department, Dairy Management Incorporated, NIH, SAMHSA-Center for Substance Abuse Treatment, Department of Veterans Affairs, Northeast Dairy Foods Research Center, US Army Medical Research Command, Department of Navy , Dairy Management Council, and National Heart, Lung, & Blood Institute
